We had our Valentine's Day enrollment event last weekend. It was the day before the open enrollment deadline. The event was a huge success, bringing in individuals looking to get signed up through the marketplace or enrolled in Medicaid. We had over 100 people attend the event or sign up at the Asian Pacific Development Center (APDC) office in order to start the application process through Connect for Health.
We owe a great deal to Aurora Health Access who helped us piece together this event, from holding a poetry contest to providing the pizzas. We also have to thank the Aurora Resilience Center for being exceptional hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed in order to make this event successful.
Enroll America showed their support by helping facilitate the enrollment process, and making it easier for folks and staff that day. They were also there along with Organize for Action (OFA ) volunteers during many of our phone banking events, and allowed us to use their database to reach out to the Aurora community.
